Overview:
- Several gold occurrences within carbonate-altered volcanics and fucshitic ultramafics in association with porphrytic intrusives.
- Coincident geological, geophysical and MMI soil geochemical anomalies that occur over significant strike extents.
- Shear zone trending through Cook appears to be the logical extension of the gold-bearing Tyrrell Structural zone.
- Historical drill highlights include: 3.67 g/t gold over 18.5 metres, including 10.04 g/t gold over 5.0 metres & 5.54 g/t gold over 10.5 metres (Cook-2) and 2.67 g/t gold over 13.0 metres (KC-12)
Exploration 2008:
- GHR prospecting returned 5.21 g/t gold from surface grab sample and confirmed strike orientation change; identified new targets.
- Spring 2008 drill program confirmed potential to extend the strike of the main occurrence and identified a new gold environment.
- Highlights include: GH-022 1.75 g/t gold over 0.6 metres; GH-021 3.44 g/t gold over 0.54 metres and 2.55 g/t gold over 0.53 metres.
